Sometimes you just don’t want to carve a pumpkin. You want to avoid the mess of gutting a gourd and cleaning up pumpkin guts and soggy pumpkin seeds. Or you don’t want sharp objects in little hands or really sharp objects in bigger hands. And quite possibly you don’t have the sculpting talent to pull it off, but mostly likely you don’t want the mess and you don’t want the cleanup of carving a pumpkin. Plus, they get rotten quickly and then you have the smell of rotting pumpkin on your porch, stoop or even in your house.
Well, I say avoid all that nonsense and paint you pumpkin for Halloween or Fall. And when I say paing, ‘m being very general here. You certainly can use paint to decorate you pumpkin, but you can also use Sharpie markers, to draw on your pumpkins or glitter in some cases, or just use stickers for a quick and painless pumpkin turned jack-o-lantern. Here are some creative pumpkin decorating ideas you can try. Most of these ideas are easy and even your small children can get involved it the fun of transforming an ordinary pumpkin into a frightening jack-o-lantern or a humorous pumpkin face. A few of these pumpkin painting designs are for more adventurous crafters and DIY people, but we tried find something for everyone.
