Fashion Mode Styling Outfit DIY

Have you ever heard of finger knitting? I’ve tried it out, unfortunately after 2 days of knitting I had cramps in the fingers, and the result didn’t look that “pretty”.

Practically inclined as I am, I was looking for something “finger-like” and found it in my manicure / pedicure set. Here are the step-by-step instructions with pictures:

Material And Tools – For This DIY Project You Need

Fashion DIY Tutorial For Beginners: Knit a scarf without knitting needles – with a toes spreader – required material and tools: wool, toe spreader and rose wood sticks

  • 2 wool balls (various colors)
  • Toe spreader
  • Rose wood sticks (to facilitate your work)

DIY Tutorial: The Step-By-Step Craft Instructions

Tie both wool threads together to a loop and put this loop on the first “toe” (1). Then wrap the threads from back to front on the other “toes” (2 and 3).

When you reach the last “toe”, once again wrap the threads around the same toe (4). The first loop, which was previously on this “toe”, you push to the rear by using a rose wood stick. Now lead the two wool threads to the next “toe”(5), insert the rose wood stick into the loop and (6) push them (over the threads) to the rear (7). If you have one row of knitting finished, you start at the second “toe” with the next row. Lead the wool threads always from back to front!

If you have finished your desired scarf length, you have to “bind off” the knitting. Therefore you put the loop of the first “toe” (8) to the next (9). Then pull the threads through the two loops (10). This new generated loop you put on the third “toe” and repeat the process until the toe spreader is empty and you have a single loop in the hand (11). This last loop you knot and then you cut away the threads. Done!

For the pompoms you wrap the desired amount of wool tightly around your hand (12) and tie it together with a thread in the middle (13). Use scissors to cut the ends (14) and shorten the pompons as well, if necessary(15).

The finished knitted scarf gets about 4-5cm wide. You can either knit more “tubes” and then combine them in a broad scarf, or you leave it the same I wear it at the shown pictures.
